Dot Day



Summary: For dot day we created our own dot creations using several different medias. Some of these medias included oil pastels, watercolors, markers, crayons, and other writing utensils. We created these dots on paper and/or coffee filters. We based our project off of the book The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds.

Extension Activity: As an extension activity, I would read The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds to my class. Then I would have them make their own dot creation using two different medias. One media would be used to represent the dot. The other media would create a background for the dots. Then I would have them frame their creation using a material of their choice.
